Hours:
Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Please call to confirm, as special events are sometimes held in lieu of regular hours. An example is the Essex Studios Art Walk held four times each year.

All other times by appointment only. Personal tours are conducted by Tod Swormstedt, founder of the museum. Tours can be scheduled on weekdays and weekends, day or night, depending upon the Tod’s availability. Please allow a minimum of three days advance notice Tours usually last 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

Cost: $10.00 per person. Children under 12 accompanied by a paying adult are free. Group rates are negotiable, but average $5.00 per person.

From I-71 South:  Taft exit (Exit 3)just north of downtown Cincinnati. Get in the far left lane and at the top of the exit ramp turn left. Go about 100 yards and on your right is Essex Studios. The Museum is located in Essex Studios.

From I-71 North: Pass through downtown and through the tunnel. Take the first exit after the tunnel, which is Reading Road (Exit 2), on the left side of the interstate one half mile after the tunnel. Keep to the left, which is Reading Road, and proceed North past the United Way building and under an overpass. Continue around the curve until you see a funky used tire store painted sky blue. Turn right on to Minnesota Avenue directly in front of the used tire store. Go 100 yards to the top of the hill and turn right at the stop sign onto Essex Place. Go about 50 yards, Essex Studios is on your immediate right.
